The Tamiya 1/12 Suzuki GSX1100S Katana (14010) reproduces the most important and visually radical Japanese motorcycle of the early 1980s — the GSX1100S Katana whose Hans Muth-designed bodywork shocked the motorcycling world when it appeared in 1980. The Katana's name, meaning 'sword' in Japanese, was reflected in its blade-like forward fairing, flush instruments, and swept-back handlebars — a complete departure from any Japanese motorcycle before it. Powered by Suzuki's 1100cc air-cooled DOHC four, it was also among the fastest production motorcycles of its era.
