The Italeri 1/72 RAF Dakota Mk.III (1338) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Douglas C-47 in RAF Dakota Mk.III configuration — the British RAF version of America's legendary transport. The RAF operated the Dakota throughout WWII, using it to carry paratroopers into Sicily, Arnhem, and Normandy, and to supply resistance fighters across occupied Europe. In RAF marking the Dakota is subtly different from the USAAF C-47, with British serial numbers and roundels that give it a distinct character.
