The Italeri 1/72 SM.79 Sparviero (1290) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero — the three-engine Italian torpedo bomber that was one of the most effective torpedo-dropping aircraft of WWII. This offering complements or provides alternate markings to the 1412 release, presenting the humpback three-engine torpedo bomber in additional Regia Aeronautica colour schemes. The SM.79 sank numerous Allied ships during the Mediterranean campaign with skilled low-level torpedo attacks.
