The Italeri 1/72 XB-70 Valkyrie (1282) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the North American XB-70 Valkyrie — one of the most extraordinary aircraft ever conceived, designed to cruise at Mach 3 at 70,000 feet beyond the reach of any Soviet interceptor. The Valkyrie's unique canard delta configuration with folding wingtips and distinctive white colour scheme make it unmistakable. Only two were built, and it remains one of the most ambitious aviation programmes in history. Even at 1/72 scale the massive fuselage is imposing.
