The SH72306 Fairey Barracuda Mk.II "Home Fleet" 1/72 scale model is a re-release of the sold-out Barracuda kit. It includes three grey styrene sprues and one clear sprue, with decals for two Atlantic-operating aircraft, one featuring nose art. This kit allows assembly with either an underbelly torpedo or a 1600lb bomb and includes underwing armament pylons.
The shoulder-wing Barracuda featured distinctive Youngman flaps and "L"-shaped main landing gear retracting beside the fuselage. Equipped with ASV IIN radar, it conducted long-range reconnaissance and primarily served as a dive bomber in key operations including attacks on the Tirpitz and anti-submarine patrols.
