Developed by Shorts Aircraft, the SC.7 Skyvan emerged as a pragmatic twin-turboprop transport solution, entering service in 1963. Its high-wing configuration and spacious fuselage prioritised cargo versatility and operational efficiency across remote airfields.

The Skyvan 3 became the definitive production variant, with approximately 150 aircraft delivered through 1986. Military and civilian operators worldwide valued its rugged design and economical running costs. Notable service included operations during the Falkland Islands conflict.

This classic kit is reissued using Airfix’s original moulds, preserving the charm and character of the original release.
