The 1/600 Airfix HMS Iron Duke kit depicts the Royal Navy’s flagship at the Battle of Jutland and one of the lead ships of the dreadnought era. This model represents the ship as she appeared during World War I, with a distinctive profile featuring four twin turrets, prominent superstructure, and a full complement of smaller secondary armaments.
The kit captures the key characteristics of the Iron Duke with cleanly moulded parts and classic styling. While simplified in detail compared to modern kits, it offers an excellent introduction to historical naval modelling and fits well within Airfix’s historic 1/600 warship range. The finished model makes an impressive display of early 20th-century British naval power.
