1/35 AFV CLUB - British Army Churchill Mk III AVRE Heavy Tank

A 1/35 scale model kit of the Churchill Mk III AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers), a heavily modified infantry support tank used by the British Army during World War II. Designed for combat engineering and battlefield demolition, the AVRE version of the Churchill was equipped with a 290mm Petard mortar, capable of demolishing enemy fortifications with high-explosive "Flying Dustbin" rounds. It played a key role in the D-Day landings and subsequent European campaigns.
