The Italeri 1/72 F/A-18 C/D Hornet (016) is a 1/72 scale model kit of the McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C and D Hornet — the single and two-seat versions of the original Hornet that served as the US Navy's primary carrier aircraft for decades. The F/A-18C introduced expanded weapons compatibility and improved avionics over the A/B models and saw action in Desert Storm, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and Iraq. The D model two-seater served primarily with the USMC. A popular and important Cold War and post-Cold War subject.
