The SR.N4 Hovercraft represents a landmark in British engineering, a revolutionary passenger vessel that entered service in 1969. Powered by four Rolls Royce Proteus turboprop engines driving massive 5.8-metre propellers, this Mountbatten Class craft achieved speeds exceeding 60 knots, enabling 14 return cross-Channel trips daily. 

As the largest passenger hovercraft ever built, it offered unprecedented high-speed, high-comfort travel whilst maintaining amphibious capability to access terminals beyond traditional seaports. 

This classic kit is reissued using Airfix’s original moulds, preserving the charm and character of the original release. It features finely moulded parts, updated decals, and the iconic retro-style box art that defines the Vintage Classics series. A great choice for both nostalgic modellers and aviation history enthusiasts.
