Italeri & AK Interactive Launch New “Easy Paint” Starter Sets
Share
Italeri have announced a new range of “Easy Paint” Starter Sets, designed to make scale modelling more accessible than ever for beginners, while still offering enough quality and detail to appeal to experienced builders looking for a quick and enjoyable project.

What makes this especially interesting is the collaboration with AK Interactive, whose hugely popular Real Color Markers are included in each set. Anyone who has visited the shop recently will know just how popular these markers have become. They’ve genuinely been a bit of a game changer for the hobby, offering fast, clean, and beginner-friendly painting without the hassle of traditional brush painting or airbrushing setups.
The new Easy Paint range combines that simplicity with a selection of compact and highly approachable 1:56 scale World War II tank kits, making these sets ideal for first-time modellers, younger hobbyists, quick weekend project, wargaming enthusiasts, or anyone looking for an easy introduction to military modelling
The first wave of releases focuses on four of the most iconic tanks of the Second World War, offering a great starting point for building a small collection.
Each starter set will include:
- A detailed 1:56 scale kit
- Glue
- Three AK Interactive Real Color Markers
- Decals for two marking options

The choice of 1:56 scale is particularly interesting, striking a nice balance between detail, affordability, and ease of assembly. Smaller projects like these can feel far less intimidating for newcomers compared to 1:35 scale, while still delivering impressive finished results.
The included AK markers also make the whole process significantly more approachable. Fast drying, easy to control, and requiring very little setup, they remove one of the biggest barriers for people trying modelling for the first time.

The new Italeri Easy Paint Starter Sets are expected in June. We don’t have pricing information just yet, but as soon as we do these will be added to the Pre-Orders page.
Keep your eyes peeled, we think these could become a really solid entry point into the hobby.
