What the Fukui? New Dinosaurs from Tamiya!

Apologies for the bad language, but Tamiya's Dinosaur Series is back with two exciting new additions, and both celebrate remarkable fossil discoveries from Japan's Fukui (Foo-KOO-ee) Prefecture, one of Asia's most important palaeontological sites.

Fukuiraptor (28501)

First up is the Fukuiraptor, a mid-sized theropod that roamed Japan around 120 million years ago during the Early Cretaceous. At 1/35 scale, this kit captures the agile predator in stunning detail,  from its sharp, curved claws to the textured skin that Tamiya does so well. Whether you're building a standalone display piece or planning a dramatic diorama, the Fukuiraptor offers plenty of scope for creative finishing.

Fukuisaurus (28502)

Joining its carnivorous neighbour is the Fukuisaurus, a herbivorous ornithopod from the same period and region. This plant-eater makes for an interesting contrast to the Fukuiraptor and opens up some fascinating diorama possibilities, peaceful grazing scene or tense encounter? The choice is yours.

Tamiya's Dinosaur Series has always been a favourite among modellers who enjoy something a little different from the usual tanks and aircraft. These kits combine the same engineering precision and parts fit you'd expect from Tamiya with subjects that spark the imagination. They're ideal for younger modellers taking their first steps into the hobby, or experienced builders looking for a refreshing side project.

Both kits are now available for pre-order. Secure yours before they stomp off the shelves.
