Armed with a 122 mm gun, the IS-2 entered service in 1944 and spearheaded the final Soviet offensives, including the storming of Berlin, making it one of the most iconic tanks of the Eastern Front.

The IS-2 is a large, imposing tank on the shelf, and its long gun and sloped hull respond beautifully to a Soviet green base coat with chipping, mud and winter whitewash effects. It also makes an ideal companion for Soviet tank crew figures or Berlin street ruins.

Key Features

Builds the IS-2 heavy tank with its long 122 mm gun

Current Zvezda box edition released in 2019

Box art by Andrei Zhirnov

Assembly instructions available as a PDF for planning your build

Great centrepiece for a Berlin 1945 or East Prussia diorama

Quick Facts

Manufacturer: Zvezda

Kit number: Z3524

Scale: 1/35

Barcode: 4600327035240

Pairs well with: Zvezda Z3504 WWII Soviet Tank Crew and Z3532 ISU-152 on the same chassis family

Paints, glue and tools are not included.
