Parts are moulded in different colours to make assembly easier.

The Type 055 displaces around 13,000 tonnes fully loaded and carries 112 vertical launch cells, leading many analysts to describe it as a cruiser. The lead ship, Nanchang (101), was commissioned in January 2020. Built at both the Jiangnan and Dalian shipyards, the class carries a 130mm main gun and a powerful integrated mast radar, and several ships now escort Chinese carrier groups.

Key Features

Parts moulded in different colours

Rotating main gun and weapon platforms

Alternative forward funnel parts for ships built at Jiangnan and Dalian

Z-20 shipborne helicopter included

Decals for eight hull numbers plus helicopter markings, display base and metal effect stickers

Built model approximately 257mm long without its base

Released in 2024

Plastic cement, paints and basic modelling tools are required to complete this kit and are sold separately.
