It builds quickly into a neat 1/700 model.

Commissioned in 1976, Los Angeles led a class of 62 boats, more than any other nuclear submarine design. The 688s hunted Soviet submarines throughout the late Cold War and many remain in service. The class was designed for high speed carrier escort and anti submarine work, and later boats added Tomahawk land attack missiles, broadening their role well beyond submarine hunting into strike and intelligence gathering missions.

Key Features

Injection moulded plastic parts

1/700 scale

Simple, fast assembly

Pairs with the improved Los Angeles class USS Greeneville (87016)

Paint and plastic cement, sold separately, are needed to finish this kit.
