Its twin booms, central nacelle and powerful cannon armament made it a formidable hunter over Europe and the Pacific from 1944. The P-61A carried four 20mm cannon in the belly and an SCR-720 radar in the nose, with a crew of pilot, gunner and radar operator. Many P-61As were delivered without the dorsal turret because of buffeting problems.

Key Features

Nine grey sprues, separate engine cowlings and a clear nose cone

White metal parts to help the model sit on its nose wheel

Separate radiators for the wing leading edges

Belly cannons, rocket pods, bombs and drop tanks

Markings for 'Jukin Judy' of the 422nd NFS and 'Skippy' of the 421st NFS

As with any plastic kit, cement, paint and tools are required and sold separately.
