Early launchers often used the GAZ-AAA before Lend Lease Studebakers became common. Katyusha rockets were first used in combat in July 1941 near Orsha, and the weapon became a symbol of Soviet resistance. Launchers were kept secret at first and crews were ordered to destroy them rather than allow capture. The combination of a simple truck and a powerful rocket battery makes an evocative Eastern Front model for a diorama.

Key Features

GAZ-AAA truck with cab and three axle chassis

BM-13-16 launcher with rails and rockets

Decal sheet with Red Army markings

Classic Eastern Front subject

Paints, glue and tools are required and are sold separately.
