These were the first single seat radar night fighters to fly from US aircraft carriers, operating in small detachments to protect the fleet after dark. The radar pod on the wing gives the F4U-2 a distinctive look, and it is an unusual variant that stands out in any Corsair collection.

Key Features

Around 240 plastic parts

Starboard wing radar pod of the night fighter

Clear parts for the canopy

Decals with painting scheme

First released by Hobby Boss in 2022

Glue, paints and modelling tools are required to complete this kit and are sold separately.
