It is a compact, affordable 1/72 kit.

The F4F-4 introduced folding wings and six .50 calibre machine guns. Though outperformed by the Japanese Zero, the tough Wildcat and its pilots held the line through 1942 at Coral Sea, Midway and Guadalcanal, and the Royal Navy flew it as the Martlet. Its sturdy construction let it absorb heavy damage, and Navy pilots developed team tactics such as the Thach Weave to counter the more agile Zero.

Key Features

1/72 scale injection moulded plastic parts

Clear canopy

Barrel shaped fuselage and stubby wings of the Wildcat captured

US markings included

Small enough to display alongside other 1/72 carrier aircraft

Paint, glue and modelling tools are needed to complete this kit and are sold separately.
