The Chinook's twin tandem rotors let it carry heavy loads without a tail rotor, and in Vietnam it lifted artillery, recovered downed aircraft and resupplied remote firebases. Its large, boxy fuselage makes an impressive model and a striking centrepiece for a Vietnam era collection.

Key Features

Quilted cabin walls and ceiling with detailed floor

Cockpit with raised console detail and instrument decals

Photo etched fret for engine screens and vents

Two engines plus front and rear rotor assemblies with drooping blades

Domed and flat cabin window options

Decals for two helicopters

Paint, glue and modelling tools are required to complete this kit and are sold separately.
